Who We Are
Ordinary Miracles Canine Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue group. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abused, unwanted and abandoned small dogs from the streets and kill shelters in and around San Antonio, Texas. We are a private, foster home-based rescue and do not have a public shelter.
All our dogs are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, microchipped and receive any and all necessary medical treatment before they are placed into carefully screened adoptive homes.
We hope to raise awareness of the plight of companion canines in San Antonio and educate the public on responsible pet ownership one foster and adopter at a time.

Dogs are Forever
I am a forever dog, not an 'until' dog.
I'm not an "until you get bored with me" dog.
I'm not an "until you find a boyfriend/girlfriend" dog.
I'm not an "until you have a baby" dog.
I'm not an "until you have to move" dog.
I'm not an "until you have no time" dog.
I'm a FOREVER dog.
If you can't give me forever,
I'm not your dog.
It's really that simple.
Joy was dumped at the pound at the end of her life. Scared, sick and alone she deteriorated quickly in the noisy shelter and began falling over and passing out. Our hearts broke for this sweet girl and we decided to pull her and give her as many days of love and comfort as possible before helping her cross the Rainbow Bridge. She was in poor health and seemed emotionally and spiritually broken. We truly believed she only had a few days left. Much to everyone's amazement, being on the right medication and in a safe and warm environment Joy's health and outlook on life improved. Her foster mom doted on her and affectionately referred to her as Miss Pitter Patter as she trotted around the house enjoying every day. All it took was the right care and love to give this girl a new lease on the life she had left. Joy left us much too soon, but she touched so many lives in her short time with OMCR. She is healthy and whole again at Rainbow Bridge and left this world with the knowledge that she was very much loved. Thank you so much to her amazing foster mom, Lea Ann, for taking such wonderful care of Joy in her final months on earth.
